My name is Sharon Reeve, and I have been a fully qualified female Driving Instructor since 2006. After passing my Instructor exams, I joined a small local franchise. Then in 2009 I became part of RPL Driving, and as I’ve lived in the Romford and Hornchurch areas of Essex most of my life, I know the roads very well! On my most recent DSA check test, I narrowly missed out on the top grade, and was awarded a grade 5.

The car I use for lessons is a Ford Fiesta and below are a few points on why this is such a great car to learn to drive in.

• Ford Fiesta 1.4 with a manual 5-speed gearbox and a petrol engine.
• Air Conditioning to make sure your driving lessons are as comfortable as possible.
• Heated front and rear windscreens, as well as heated door mirrors to keep everything as clear as possible. Ideal for those frosty winter driving lessons.
• 4 star Euro NCAP rating for passenger safety. The car is fitted with driver and passenger airbags.
• Power Assisted Steering (PAS) which makes it easy for you to do those tight turns and reversing exercises.
• Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS) for extra safety under heavy braking.
• Adjustable seat and steering wheel, so you get the best driving position, regardless of your height.
• Due to its compact size, they have proven to be very manoeuvrable and provide good all-round visibility.
• Dual controls so the driving instructor can keep you safe while learning to drive. Remember everyone makes mistakes at some point in their learning.
