More interest on your savings could help to pay for driving lessonsThe fact that the official bank rate in the United Kingdom has been held at 0.5% for over two years now has made it difficult for those who wish to save money to find ways of ensuring that they get a decent return. However, it is still possible to find good deals if you look around for long enough as some institutions offer new customers special rates for a certain period of time after they open an account. If you are trying to get enough money together to pay for driving lessons, either for yourself or one of your children, this could be a great help. The cost of driving lessons is not unreasonable in the UK but most people would not consider them to be cheap either. When choosing which school to use it is often possible to get an introductory lesson for free though. The extremely low interest rates that most banks offer at the moment means that they can use people's money almost for free but a number of organisations have recognised the need to give consumers more reasons to choose them as a home for their nest egg and a rate of nearly 3% is being offered by some. Some of the introductory offers that driving schools regularly offer include block discounts for people that book and pay for a certain number of lessons in advance and the free appraisal lesson mentioned earlier. Whilst such promotions do not make a huge amount of difference to the overall cost, your Savings will at least stretch a little further. Having the money to pay for an extra couple of hour's tuition just before your driving test could make the difference between passing and failing. One way to find bank and building society accounts offering the best rate of interest that may help you to afford more lessons is by walking around your local town centre and looking at the promotional displays in the windows of the various financial institutions but this is a rather time consuming and inefficient approach. An online search, using appropriate key words and phrases, is probably the quickest way to identify which organisations are offering the best deals right now. It is also a good way to find competitive driving instructors although it will probably be necessary to include the name of the nearest large town in your search, in order to limit the results to schools that are within easy reach. The physical location of a bank or other financial company that pays interest on cash deposits is not that important nowadays as online banking facilities mean that it is possible to access details about your account from anywhere in the country and initiate transfers whenever you wish. An account with no penalty for withdrawals is a good choice if you are planning on booking driving lessons in the near future. For people that want to put something aside regularly but need access to their savings occasionally, this type of account is ideal.
