Car racing is all about speed; therefore you must know how to drive as fast as you can towards the finish line. One way to do this is to learn drafting. When race cars form a group and follow each other bumper to bumper, that is called drafting. A group can consist of as much as five race cars or just two. Drafting helps racers travel faster because they can be more efficient with breaking through the air and dealing with air displacement drag. A lone race car will have to deal with all the drag by itself and this can slow it down. Another important factor in car racing is the pit. You have to have an effective pit team and pit strategy. Decide wisely whether you only pit for fuel, for two tires, or for four tires. Pit decisions can have huge impacts on your ability to win.

Aside from drafting and pit strategies, you also have to learn how to effectively pass other cars on the tracks. You have to possess patience and the ability to make split-second decisions. Foresight of where a spot could open is also required.
